The Portland Timbers officially announced on Monday that they are signing Franck Boli from the Hungarian top-flight team Ferencvarosi.
The 29-year-old striker has agreed terms with the Portland team for the 2023 season with an otion for extension for 2024.
“This acquisition provides the group another experienced attacking option, while still allowing flexibility within the roster as we move ahead,” Timbers general manager Ned Grabavoy said in a release.
“We look forward to welcoming Franck to Portland, and hope that he can be a positive addition to the team.”
“We’re excited to welcome Franck to Portland,” said head coach Giovanni Savarese. “I feel confident that adding another attacking piece like Boli into our team will give us the possibility to be more competitive.”
Bali scored 42 goals and made 11 assists over 126 appearances for Ferencvarosi. He will be looking to boost the Portland team squad and is set to compete for the No.9 role.
