Boston Celtics star Kristaps Porzingis, who was once believed to be the long-term co-star alongside Luka Doncic with the Mavericks, revealed that there are ‘bad feelings’ about his period with Dallas not going as he wanted to as he is getting ready to play against his ex-organization in the NBA Finals.
Dallas made a blockbuster exchange to get Porzingis from the Knicks at the beginning of 2019, midway through Luka’s rookie campaign – an exchange that the Mavs will finally pay in full by sending the NBA team from the Big Apple the 24th selection at the 2024 NBA Draft.
Kristaps, who was recovering from a torn ACL when he became a Dallas player and suffered a lot of injuries that limited his time on the court, averaged 20.0 points and almost 9 boards in 134 matches for Dallas. The Mavs decided that the center is not the star that they wanted to play alongside Doncic and traded him to the Wizards in 2022.
Porzingis revealed with the media that he has good memories during his time with the Mavs and not everything was bad.
