Caleb’s decision makes him the favorite to be the 1st overall selection in today’s year NFL draft. Chicago Bears will have the 1st pick, so now the franchise must decide if they will keep Justin Fields or trade him and select a new quarterback.
The USC quarterback’s decision to enter the draft is not a surprise. After a disappointing campaign with his school, it was not very strange that Caleb waited for the final day to declare himself for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The discussions around the quarterback are not about whether he is worth being the favorite to be the 1st overall selection, but he is a generational talent at the QB position.
We now have the official order for the first 24 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft, with the remaining eight to be decided by the playoffs.
