"We have never been more united" claimed the PSG chief

PSG president Al-Khelaifi has hit back at Neymar comments about the clubs situation following the Brazilian departure to the Saudi Pro League.

The 31-year-old stated that he along with Lionel Messi have been treated poorly and the pair had to go through hell.

Al-Khelaifi was quick to respond as he aimed to calm the tension within the club.

“PSG’s team has never been so united on and off the pitch. This is something that we saw in this weekend’s 4-1 win at Lyon.” he said.

“We have a fantastic coach [Luis Enrique] and sports director [Luis Campos], and I am very happy with the renewed spirit that reigns in the club.”

“This year, in the new PSG cycle, we focus less on results and more on performance and our style of play,’ Al-Khelaifi added. ‘If we do this, the results will accompany us.”

The French giants have had a star-studded squad for many years, but failed to fulfill the dream of lifting the Champions League. Even the mega trio of Kylian Mbappe, Messi and Neymar were unable to bring the big trophy to Paris.
