Jamal Musiala suffered awful injury to his left ankle and it looks like he will be sidelined for a long time

Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the Club World Cup semifinals with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in a heated clash that was marred by a serious injury to Jamal Musiala and two red cards for the French champions.

The match in Atlanta saw Musiala stretchered off just before halftime following a brutal collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, reportedly resulting in a severe ankle injury. The incident cast a shadow over an otherwise high-stakes encounter between European heavyweights.

With the match still goalless well into the second half, Desire Doue broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, catching Manuel Neuer off guard at the near post to give PSG the lead.

However, PSG’s task became more difficult as they were reduced to nine men: first, Willian Pacho was shown a straight red for a reckless tackle, followed by Lucas Hernandez, who was sent off minutes later for a last-man foul.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, PSG sealed the win when Ousmane Dembele scored in stoppage time, capping off a lightning-quick counterattack. Bayern had a potential late lifeline when they were awarded a penalty, but VAR overturned the decision, extinguishing any hope of a comeback.
