Emma shared that she had surgery for “minor problems” on her ankle and hand and will not be able to heal in time for the French Open and Wimbledon.
“It’s sad for me to tell you I will miss the summer events,” the 2021 US Open winner shared on Twitter.
The Canada-born Raducanu has played through the pain in her wrist since the beginning of the year. Her last match was at the end of April at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Germany, where Jelena Ostapenko defeated her 2:0 sets.
Then Emma announced that she would miss the Madrid Open because of a hand injury on the same day she was scheduled to play against Viktoriya Tomova.
