He added that the Rams have already held discussions as the potential deal would help them clear cap space with Ramsey set to make $17 million in base salary in 2023.
The Pro Bowler signed a five-year, $100-million deal in 2020 and is under contract for three more seasons.
It would be the Rams’ second major move this offseason with the franchise reportedly planning to release veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner, which will clear $5 million in cap space.
The 28-year-old Ramsey, who spent the first three-plus years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was acquired by the Rams in a 2019 midseason trade.
He’s been a cornerstone of their defense, earning four Pro Bowl nods and recording 10 interceptions over 56 starts across his four years with the club.
Ramsey matched a personal best with four interceptions last season. He also put up a career-high 18 pass defenses.
He leads all cornerbacks with six Pro Bowl selections since coming into the league as the No. 5 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
