Canadian player was eliminated at the R2 of the tournament by Tommy Paul

Canadian tennis player Milos Raonic announced that Wimbledon 2023 could be the last major tournament in which he participates.

“It was probably my last appearance at Wimbledon. I’ll come again and have fun, but I don’t think I’ll play. I don’t want to say what I’m going to do next. Hopefully it’s something completely different. I played tennis for a very long time and I didn’t always enjoy the attention,” Raonic said.

Raonic was eliminated in the second round in London after losing to Tommy Paul 4:6, 6:7 (4), 7:6 (4), 4:6.

Raonic, 32, is a former world No. 3, a 2016 Wimbledon finalist and a semifinalist in two Grand Slam singles tournaments (2014 Wimbledon and 2016 Australian Open). He’ won total of eight ATP singles tournaments and is also Davis Cup semi-finalist (2013) with Team Canada.
