After the Baltimore Ravens were defeated by a toe in the 1st match of the new NFL season, QB Lamar Jackson could only shake his head.
Lamar revealed he doesn’t think the referees should have overturned Isaiah Likely’s last-second TD, which resulted in a 27-20 defeat for his team against the Super Bowl champs in the campaign opener. One referee right away ruled Likely got both feet inbounds in the back of the end zone, which would have allowed the Ravens to win the match with a 2-point conversion, but after review, the touchdown was overturned.
“For me, it was a TD,” Lamar claimed. “After viewing the replay, I’m still positive about being a touchdown.”
Lamar and Baltimore fell to 1-5 vs. Mahomes and Kansas City, but they were very close to making a phenomenal comeback. With 5 seconds left and at the Chief’s 10-yard line, Jackson made a phenomenal pass to Likely as time expired, and everyone thought that it was a touchdown.
Ravens believe that if they scored a TD, they would have eventually won the match against the Chiefs.
Many fans are upset that the NFL started its season by playing the Black National Anthem before the Star-Spangled Banner last night at the #Ravens vs. #Chiefs Game.
"Boycott the NFL" is trending.
