Real Madrid have given more details about the injury of the team’s superstar Kylian Mbappe ahead of their UCL match vs. Benfica in 2 days. Los Blancos will face the Portuguese team in their UCL playoff match as the 2 clubs will fight for a place in the 1/8 finals of the tournament.
The two clubs played against each other recently as Benfica shocked Real Madrid 4-2, and that cost the Royal Club a place in the top 8, while the Portuguese giants advanced to the knockout stage.
Kylian netted both Los Blancos goals in their 4-2 defeat in Portugal. Los Blancos defeated Real Sociedad 4-1 during the weekend in LaLiga, but the French superstar missed the game, and now his club has given an update about his injury.
The Royal club manager, Alvaro Arbeloa, revealed that the French forward didn’t play in the league as a precautionary measure, as the club didn’t want to take any risks ahead of the important matches in the Champions League:
“Kylian is doing fantastic. Mbappe has been dealing with small discomfort, and that’s why we didn’t risk him before the UCL clash.”
🚨 Arbeloa: “Kylian Mbappé will be ready to START vs Benfica on Tuesday”.
