Ferguson himself posted announced the news by posting a picture on social media with the NFL written mandate, which he submitted.
Ferguson entered the league in 2016 with the Bills and has been with Buffalo for his entire career. From 2017 to ’23, he has played in 112 games as long snapper, a steady presence on the team’s special teams unit.
Long snappers are not usually the center of attention, but they can also play a critical role in one team’s success. So the NFL is doing everything possible to prevent one team of getting an unfair advantage.
