Andy Robertson will leave the club from Anfield at the end of the campaign when his deal expires, the team revealed today.
Andy, who is 32 years old, joined Liverpool from Hull City almost 10 years ago for 8 million pounds and has won 2 EPL titles and the UCL during his time at the Reds.
The Scottish defender shared: “I believe now is the right time to move on. I’m very happy that I played for Liverpool for 9 years.”
The Reds were wanted by Tottenham during the winter transfer window, with the 2 clubs even agreeing in principle for the transfer.
However, Arne Slot’s side decided not to sell the Scotland captain because Liverpool was unable to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan at AS Roma.
Robertson is not part of the starting 11 very often in the current campaign after the Reds bought Milos Kerkez in the past summer for 40 million pounds from the Cherries.
Andy has appeared in 373 games for the Merseyside club so far and has secured a total of 9 trophies as of today.
We can confirm Andy Robertson will bring his Reds career to an end at the conclusion of the current season.
He will do so as a Liverpool legend ❤️
