Jason Robertson netted in the regular time and scored the only goal on penalties to give the Dallas Stars a laboured 2-1 win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.

The Islanders welcomed their one millionth fan to the UBS Arena, surprising them with a celebration at the main entrance of the venue, which opened last season.
Dallas goaltender Jake Oettinger made 26 saves, stopping Mathew Barzal, Anthony Beauvillier and Brock Nelson on penalties.
Anders Lee scored the only goal for New York and their goalie Ilya Sorokin ended the Islanders’ first of five home games with 23 saves.
Oettinger made several key saves in the the third period, including a breakaway attempt, an odd-men rush chance and a long wrister.
Lively Robertson scored his 29th goal of the season to open the opener at 3:42. Tyler Seguin and Joe Pavelski each connected with a cross ice pass before Robertson shoved the puck past Sorokin.
The 23-year-old left wing Robertson cabled a wrist shot over the gauntlet of Sorokin in the shootout.
The Islanders will host Minnesota on Thursday while the Stars visit the New York Rangers on the same day.
