The Houston Rockets, facing elimination, delivered a spirited performance on Friday night to beat the Golden State Warriors 115-107 and even their first-round playoff series 3-3, forcing a decisive Game 7 on Sunday in Houston.
Fred VanVleet led the charge with a standout stat line: 29 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds.
His momentum-shifting four-point play to open the fourth quarter came just after a classic Stephen Curry scoring burst and snatched the rhythm back for Houston.

Alperen Sengun was dominant in the paint, adding 21 points and 14 rebounds, as the Rockets’ offense found its groove once again.
Golden State’s offense collapsed at a critical moment, going more than six minutes without a field goal, missing 13 consecutive shots during a decisive Rockets run. Curry, who had been a spark throughout, finally broke the drought with a three-pointer at the 3:35 mark, but it was too late.
The Warriors had led the series 3-1, but have now lost back-to-back games, including a 131-116 blowout in Game 5. They must now regroup quickly before heading back to Houston’s hostile crowd for a Game 7 that will determine who faces the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have been resting and waiting after an early sweep in their own series.
