Portugal’s captain and big leader Cristiano Ronaldo set two hugely important career records during his nation’s Euro 2024 qualifier win against Liechtenstein.
The former Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United striker recorded his 197th cap at national level, making him the player with the most caps at national level of all time.
At the beginning of the second half, he also scored two goals, which rounded his tally to 100 goals for the national team in international matches. An achievement that no other player in world football had done until now.
