Bukayo Saka delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice, as Arsenal showcased their formidable goal-scoring prowess in a dominant victory over Burnley, narrowing the gap at the top of the Premier League to just two points.
The scoring onslaught began early, with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard finding the net after only four minutes. Odegaard displayed clinical precision, unleashing a crisp strike into the bottom corner following a well-executed pass from Gabriel Martinelli.
Saka extended Arsenal’s lead by converting from the penalty spot after Lorenz Assignon fouled Leandro Trossard in the box. The England forward didn’t stop there, securing his brace shortly after the restart. Saka capitalized on a clever pass from Odegaard, skillfully cutting inside and unleashing a powerful shot into the roof of the net.
Although Kai Havertz’s initial effort was blocked, Trossard remained vigilant, curling in his third goal in as many league games. Jakub Kiwior’s lengthy throw down the line then found an unmarked Havertz, who elegantly glided behind the defense, drilling a shot past home goalkeeper James Trafford to seal a comprehensive victory for the Gunners.
