In his 1st campaign with the Kings in 2022-23, Brown triumphed with the Coach of the Year while leading Sacramento to the top seed before being eliminated from the playoffs in 7 matches from the Warriors in the 1st round. That ended a 16-campaign drought without a postseason appearance for Sacramento, the longest streak in league history.
Mike ends his time in Sacramento with a .549 win percentage, the 4th-best by a manager in the organization history. The dismissing came after Brown had agreed to a deal extension through 2026-27 during the summer.
