The 26-year-old striker announced that he is leaving the Magpies on Saturday via an emotional social media post, where he said his biggest trophy was playing for them.
He becomes the 4th Premier League player to join the Saudi League’s team after Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino and Edouard Mendy.
It is a four-year deal for a player, who joined Newcastle in 2019 from Nice and has bagged 12 Premier League goals in 111 appearances.
Many have expressed their worry that Maxmin’s price tag will be too inflated, so that Newcastle can comply with the FFP regulations, but manager Eddie Howe dismissed such claims.
The Magpies have already made huge signings by bringing in Alexandro Tonali from AC Milan for £55m and Harvey Barnes from Leicester for £38m
