The winger from France (26) is very close to signing with Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, as the league is run by the same fund that owns the Magpies.
Allan netted 13 goals in 124 matches after landing in the Premier League side during the summer transfer window in 2019 from Nice.
“Even though this chapter has finished, the story never stops. Newcastle will forever be my home,” Saint-Maximin shared on social media.
“From this day on, I will be the club’s biggest fan.”
The Magpies finished 4th in the past campaign and qualified for the Champions League for the 1st time in 20 years.
Rival Premier League sides are not happy because they think the transfer fee could be higher, which will help Newcastle with the Financial Fair Play regulations.
