Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been set a potential return date as he is out with an injury and didn’t play in the Gunners’ 4-0 victory against Leeds United over the past weekend. The forward was included in North London’s club starting 11 but sustained his injury during the warm-up, and his place on the pitch was taken by Noni Madueke.
Bukayo will not play today in the Gunners’ ½ final 2nd leg with Chelsea, but his team is optimistic that he will be able to return soon.
Mikel Arteta revealed this about Saka’s injury ahead of the match against the Blues in the Carabao Cup: “We must be patient. Saka felt better today, but we must give him more time and see how he feels, and then decide when we can return.
“However, I don’t think that his injury is serious. Whether he will be on the pitch against Chelsea or during the weekend, I’m not sure yet.”
🚨 Bukayo Saka is NOT available to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final. The injury is not serious, however, and the hope is Saka will be fit when Arsenal host rivals Tottenham later this month. ❌🤕 [@sr_collings] pic.twitter.com/p937yLsGUK
