Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly instructed Anthony Martial to train independently to improve his physical condition, as revealed by the “Daily Mail.”
Currently, the coach apparently believes that the French winger cannot prepare with the first team, considering the intensity and pace of the training process. Martial has been sidelined due to illness, which has kept him out of the squad for Manchester United’s last six matches.
Individual training sessions for players returning from injury are a standard practice at the club, but the length of time it has taken Martial to regain his physical form has not gone unnoticed and has sparked discussions within the club.
Martial’s contract expires in the summer, and it seems likely that he will depart from “Old Trafford,” although the player’s desire is to stay. So far this season, he has made 19 appearances for the “Red Devils,” contributing 2 goals and 2 assists, mostly coming off the bench. A departure during this transfer window is possible if the club receives a good offer for him.
