Argentina’s World Cup-winning coach Lionel Scaloni, Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola were named as FIFA’s finalists for the 2022 ‘Best’ coach of the year award.
A worldwide selection panel of national team coaches and captains, plus selected media and fans voting online chose the three men as finalists for FIFA’s Best Men’s Coach award for 2022.
Ancelotti led Real to the Champions League trophy while Guardiola’s City captured the English Premier League title.
Walid Regragui didn’t get enough votes despite leading Morocco on a stunning run to the World Cup semifinals as he had voiced concerns about a lack of respect for Arab coaches.
