Ottawa won the 3rd period 3-0 to secure the triumph.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Claude Giroux notched 3rd-period goals, and the Ottawa Senators came back to beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, in Shane Pinto’s return to the team from a gambling ban.

Tim Stützle had 2 goals, including an empty-netter, and Zack MacEwen also notched for Sens. Pinto, being on the ice for the 1st time after a 41-match suspension, finished with an assist and Mads Sogaard stopped 22 shots.

“We kept playing the way we can, stayed focused,” Stützle admitted. “Great comeback victory.”

Egor Zamula scored 2 goals and provided an assist, and Joel Farabee had a goal and 2 assists for Philadelphia, who lost their 2nd consecutive match after triumphing in 5 consecutive before that.

Flyers played without 3rd-leading scorer Owen Tippett, who sustained his lower body injury crashing into the boards early in the 3rd period of yesterday’s 7-4 defeat against the Avalanche.
