Shapovalov wins his first match at Miami Open

The Canadian tennis player won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 after a crucial break in the 8^th game of the 3^rd set when Guido Pella made a double fault on the breaking point.

Denis was perfect when he served for the match and didn’t give his opponent a point. His next game in the third round of the Miami Open will be against Taylor Fritz.

Because of his ranking (25), Shapovalov started from the 2^nd round of the Masters 1000 tournament.

That was the second time that Shapovalov and Pella faced each other, and the Canadian won both of them. Their first clash was on the Rome Masters in 2020.
