The EPL legend Alan Shearer slammed Man United for overpaying on the Benjamin Sesko transfer as he shared that he is not optimistic for the future of the forward at Old Trafford. Benjamin is now enjoying a great start to his life as a Manchester United player, as he has just scored twice in 12 games across all tournaments.
The Red Devils persuaded the former RB Leipzig striker for a long time, and they were able to finish the deal in August as they paid 74 million pounds for him. The forward, who was shining in the Bundesliga, was among the top priorities for the team in the attack after the problems that the Red Devils had in front of the goal in the past season.
However, Sesko is not helping much this season as he has netted 2 goals in the Premier League and has started only 6 out of 11 games the team has played.
“One footballer who must show a better level for the Red Devils is Benjamin Sesko. The club paid over 70 million pounds for him. That was too much money for me, and to be honest, I don’t think that he will leave Old Trafford after having an incredible career.”
