This isn’t the first unfortunate episode for the captain. On May 27, he experienced a similar collapse in the 11th minute during the promotion playoff against Coventry for entry into the Premier League.
Luton fans rallied in support of Lockyer, and Bournemouth’s medical staff confirmed that the player is conscious. It was later confirmed that he suffered a head injury, but his condition is good.
