Shohei Ohtani is likely to stay at his current club Los Angeles Angels, if they successfully proceed to the playoff rounds, said head-coach Perry Minasian on Tuesday.
Ohtani is set to become a free agent in the summer, but the Minasian fully believes the superstar is here to stay as he aims to end Angels’ eight-year playoff drought.
“It’s pretty self-explanatory with where we’re at (in the standings),” he said.
The 29-year-old Ohtani is the starlet in Los Angeles squad and is the heart and soul of their success, leading the major league in homers, RBIs, slugging percentage and batting average.
