Sky Sport Italia claim that Paulo Dybala’s injury is not as serious as first thought, so the Argentine forward will not need to go to surgery.
Roma feared Dybala would be out for several weeks after the world champion left the pitch in tears during Sunday’s 4-1 win over Cagliari with a suspected knee injury.
However, Sky Sport Italia reports that Dybala’s physical problem is not as serious as first thought as he suffered a slight tear in his lateral ligaments.
Paulo Dybala injury update:
His knee isn’t as bad as they first feared. No surgery is required and he should only miss a month ?
He’s expected to miss games against:
• Monza

The Argentine forward underwent medical tests overnight and they have ruled out a torn cruciate ligament or an injury that would force the Argentine out of the game for a long time.
According to reports, Dybala may even return to play after the break. He certainly won’t need knee surgery. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala’s goal is to return for the clash against Inter on October 22.
