Inter manager Simone Inzaghi expressed his satisfaction with today’s 3-0 win away to Empoli, as well as the overruled suspension of his forward Romelu Lukaku, who he will be able to rely on in the return leg against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
“It was an important game, one of many we will have until the end of the season. We dominated for long periods, but in the first half we were too slow to pass. The first goal calmed us down and we got the win we really wanted. It was very important for Rom because of his two goals and for the rest of the players who don’t play much this season but they were amazing today. Not that I ever doubted them.”
“Lukaku’s suspension overturned? The important thing is that I have a choice that I didn’t have before. Fortunately, at the moment all four of our strikers are in good form, which can never be a problem for a coach. I think the overturning of the ban is a great message from the federation, especially to youngster, that we must always fight against racism.”, he said.
