Jannik Sinner cruised into the semi-finals of the French Open for the first time in his career with easy 3-0 set (6-2 6-4 7-6(3) ) win over Grigor Dimitrov.
The Italian, who is currently No. 2, but will step on first position in ATP ranking from next week after Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal from Paris, took full advantage of the shaky game from the Bulgarian.

Dimitrov had complained before the match of pain in his hand, and something seemed to be troubling him throughout the whole match as he found himself resoundingly a set down as his efforts waned.
He showed more desire in the second set, but the damage had already been done and lost the second part with a break down.
Dimitrov, raised his levels as the Parisian crowd cheered for him in the third set, which had a positive impact for him. Despite going a break down again, he managed to re-brake as Sinner was serving for the win. This sent the third set into a tiebreak, where the Italian was more consistent again and finished the job.
In the next round Sinner will play either Carlos Alcaraz or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semi-finals.
