World number one Jannik Sinner has claimed his first Wimbledon title, defeating last year’s champion Carlos Alcaraz in a four-set showdown.
With this victory, the 23-year-old Italian not only secured his first championship on the grass courts of the All England Club but also halted Alcaraz’s bid to win three consecutive Wimbledon finals.

Sinner’s win comes just 35 days after his heartbreaking defeat at the Roland Garros final against Alcaraz as the Italian had multiple championship points, but lost the game.
The final played out in front of a royal audience — including the Prince and Princess of Wales with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte — and unfolded as another high-stakes chapter in the ongoing duel between two of tennis’s brightest stars right now.
Alcaraz started strong, coming from 4-2 down to take the first set 6-4, reminiscent of his incredible resilience in last month’s French Open final, where he denied Sinner in a five-hour, 29-minute epic.
This time, Sinner held firm and after again going 4-2 up in the second set, he maintained his lead to level the match, taking it 6-4. He followed with another 6-4 set win in the third, capitalizing on growing pressure and a few key unforced errors from the Spaniard.

The fourth set followed a similar pattern, tight games, big moments, but Sinner’s composure and relentless baseline play proved too much. He closed it out 6-4, sealing the most prestigious win of his career and lifting the Wimbledon trophy for the first time.
