World No. 4 Jannik Sinner was forced to withdraw from the Paris Masters. Yesterday, he beat Mackenzie Macdonald 2:1, but the match ended after 2:30 am local time.
The Italian was due to play Alex de Minaur in the round of 16 today, just 14 hours after his success against McDonald.
One of Sinner’s coaches, Darren Cahill, shared on social media that he was happy for his player’s victory, but that the schedule in Paris did not take into account the players’ well-being as the time for recovery is very short.
