Spain will have 8 teams in European tournaments

Sevilla’s Europa League triumph is excellent news for Spanish football. Thanks to this success, the country will almost certainly have as many as eight representatives in the European club tournaments from the new season.

The victory for Sevilla guarantees them participation in the Champions League, where the top four in the La Liga standings will also participate – Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.

Because of Sevilla’s 11th place in La Liga means that the fifth in the table – Villarreal, goes to the Europa League.
