Owner ENIC - British investment company, consider sale

Iranian-American billionaire Jahm Najafi is reportedly preparing a £3million ($3.75bn) takeover for Tottenham Hotspur, with ENIC tempted to cash in on the English Premier League, according to media reports.

Financial Times report that Najafi, the chair of MSP Sports Capital, is working to structure a bid for the north London club and are preparing to approach owner Joe Lewis and chairman Daniel Levy with his offer.

Najafi’s bid will be structured so that 70 per cent of the purchase price will be put forward by MSP and the partners recruited.

And the other 30 per cent will be made up by backers from the Middle East, which are allegedly mainly based in Abu Dhabi.
