Calgary Stampeders WR Malik Henry shared today that he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in yesterday’s defeat to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Malik left the field with help in the 4th quarter after a non-contact play, and then he was driven off from the sideline.
It is still too early to predict when he will be able to play football again, but a TSN reporter claims that it is a “worst-case scenario.”
“It will take a lot of time, but I know God wouldn’t put me through anything I can’t back stronger from,” the wide receiver shared on social media.
To everyone that’s DM’d me or reached out concerning last night, just wanted to give y’all an update. I ruptured my Achilles last night at the game. It’s gonna be a long process but I know God wouldn’t put me through anything I couldn’t handle. Thank you for all the prayers 🙏🏽🖤
