It was Robertson’s second goal of the night, which took his tally to 41 for the season, becoming the first player to reach the 40-goals benchmark in successive seasons since the franchise moved to Dallas for the 1993-1994 campaign. He is currently third in the team’s history behind Dino Ciccarelli (1985-86, 1986-87,1987-88) Dave Gagner (1989-90, 1990-91).
“They put me out there to try to produce,” Robertson said.
“A lot of guys on this team are having fantastic seasons. It kind of bLeeds into my game. That success translates from our team to individuals.
“We’re doing really well in the standings right now. We want to keep it that way. But that sure helps a guy like me to achieve that milestone.”
Joe Pavelski, Radek Faksa, Wyatt Johnson and Jani Hakanpaa all scored for Dallas. Goaltender Jake Oettinger made 33 saves.
Elias Lindholm, MacKenzie Weeger, Blake Coleman, Nick Ritchie and Anderson all found their names in the scoresheet for Calgary. Goaltender Markstrom made 20 saves.
The victory meant Dallas overcoming their last two losses as they register a 4th win in their last 6 visits.
Up next on the road for the Stars are Seattle on Tuesday night. The Flames face off Los Angeles on Monday night.
