Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers was sidelined in the 2nd half of his team’s 34-12 win against the Cincinnati Bengals after suffering a problem in his left, non-throwing wrist before the end of the 1st half.
Aaron was initially declared to have a hand problem, but manager Mike Tomlin revealed after the end of the match that his quarterback sustained a wrist injury. Rodgers will be further evaluated in the morning, as the Steelers manager said to the media that he discussed the situation with Aaron.
“Rodgers was happy that we won the match,” the Pittsburgh boss claimed. “I just talked with him, but we discussed only the win vs. the Bengals. We didn’t discuss his problem. We talked about how crucial that victory was.”
The veteran quarterback landed on his left wrist and hand as he was tackled after throwing the ball away on 2nd-and-goal only seconds before the end of the 1st half. Aaron remained on the field for 1 more play after a timeout, but cameras caught that he had problems as Chris Boswell made a 25-yard FG.
