Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III has agreed to ink with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The RB’s MVP performance in Super Bowl LX, which capped arguably the best campaign of his 4 years with the Seahawks.
Drafted in the 2nd round, number 41, out of Michigan 4 years ago, Kenneth topped 1,100 scrimmage yards and scored 9 TDs in each of his 1st 2 campaigns. Walker missed 4 matches during that period, then 6 in 2024, while dealing with oblique, calf, and ankle problems – raising questions about his availability.
After making changes to what he eats and when he sleeps in the past offseason, as Walker began a contract year, he stayed healthy last campaign. While sharing snaps with Zach Charbonnet, Kenneth totaled 1,309 scrimmage yards and averaged 4.6 yards per carry during the regular campaign, both highs in his time in the NFL.
Kenneth, who is 25 years old, got better as the campaign went on. His yards-per-carry average went from 4.4 over the 1st 15 weeks to almost 6 over the final 3 matches of the regular campaign. Walker continued his tear in the postseason and became the leading running back after Zach tore his ACL in the divisional round.
Kenneth Walker III is signing a 3-year, $45M max deal with $28.7M fully guaranteed. (via @RapSheet) https://t.co/UQ2eSzNJpS
