Supercomputer calculated who is most likely to win Euro 2024

The statistical agency Opta has pointed out England national team as the favorite to win the upcoming European Football Championship this summer.

According to Opta’s analysis, England has a 19.9 percent chance of securing the title in Germany. The top contenders also include World Cup finalist France with a 19.1 percent chance and the host Germany with a 12.4 percent chance.

The 2024 European Championship will take place from June 14 to July 14 and England’s journey in the tournament will begin in Group C, where Gareth Southgate’s squad will compete against the national teams of Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia.

The current champions of Italy are given just 5 percent chance of defending their title. The Italian were hit by multiple injuries in their defensive line, which puts them in unfavorable position in the so called “Group of death” alongside Spain, Croatia and Albania. The Spaniard are given 9.6 percent chance of a gold, while Portugal and Netherlands get 9.2 and 5.1 accordingly.
