Iga reached the next round in Paris.

Iga Swiatek, world number 1, will play in the ¼ finals at Roland-Garros after her Ukrainian opponent, world number 66, Lesya Tsurenko, retired after 6 games in the 1st set.

The Polish had a 5-1 lead when Lesya decided to abandon the match as she had a medical timeout before that and tried to continue, but she saw that it would not be possible.

Swiatek continues with her dominance in the French Open and has yet to lose a set as she regularly wins sets 6-0 in the Big Slam in France. Iga already eliminated Bucsa, Liu, and Tsurenko.

The world number 1 will face the American world number 6, Coco Gauff, as this can be the 1st real challenge for Swiatek at the French Open.
