Inter Miami hired the former Barcelona coach.

Inter Miami reported today that it had hired ex-Barcelona and Atlanta United manager Gerardo Martino to take over as the head coach of the MLS team.

Tata (60) was free after he worked for the last time as Mexico’s national men’s team head coach, but after the nation was eliminated in the group stage at the World Cup in Qatar, he decided to part ways with Mexico. Martino will replace Phil Neville, fired at the beginning of the month.

“We are delighted to welcome Tata to our club. We feel he is a manager who matches Inter Miami’s ambitions as an organization, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve with him as the head coach.

“Martino has experience at the highest levels, and that experience will hugely benefit our club as we aim to lift titles soon.
