The Brazilian spent 21 days away from the team in September amid allegations of violence vs. women.
The police probe, both in his native country and in England, is continuing, and the Man Utd head coach shared that Anthony, who is yet to score or give an assist this campaign, is being affected by the problems off-field.
“I can share, and I think it’s very simple: his off-field problem stops him from being at his best,” the Dutch manager shared with the media today.
“His debut campaign was OK, the preseason was even better. The first 4 matches were very good, but from the moment he was out, and then he came back, Antony is not at his usual level and I expect a lot more than him.”
Ten Hag also wished Sancho luck, who joined Borussia Dortmund on loan.
