Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag praised his players for their dramatic 2-1 win at home to Brentford in the Premier League.
Right until the end, the Red devils were behind 0-1, but made a great turnaround for 2-1 with two goals from the reserve Scott McTominay in the added time of the game.
According to Ten Hag, luck has to be sought and Man United have shown character and resilience.
“This team showed serious character as well as resilience. We show that our plans are working. Luck is sought after, and we did just that. They defended the whole game while we were behind in the score. We also had serious patience after the ball was not going into their net. We created enough chances, but we didn’t convert,” Ten Haag said immediately after the final whistle.
“Something has also become clear about the team’s dressing room. A player appeared in the game, who was on the field for a short time, but changed the spirit of the team. He fought so hard to carry the United team. Scott McTominay is Manchester United,” he added.
