New York ruled out their starter quarterback, Justin, vs. the Bucs.

NY Jets QB Justin Fields, who is recovering from a concussion, will not be on the field at the end of the weekend vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Aaron Glenn, who is making his debut season as a head coach of the organization, shared that veteran Tyrod Taylor will be the starting quarterback for the winless organization in their visit to the Buccaneers in Florida.

The manager, who revealed a few days ago that they are preparing for Fields to be the starter, said that Justin remains in concussion protocol.

The Jets’ starting QB sustained the problem in the 4th quarter in the past weekend’s 30-10 defeat against the Bills, when the back of his helmet slammed to the turf on a hit by Joey Bosa.

The league has a 5-step protocol for concussions, and the footballer must be cleared by an independent neurologist before being able to play again.

New York will try to avoid their 1st 0-3 start of a new season since 2021 with the backup quarterback against Tampa Bay.
