Inter kept the first position in the Serie A standings for at least another week after beating Roma 1-0 at home in their Round 10 clash.
The game was highly anticipated not only because of both teams’ names, but also for Romelu Lukaku’s return to Giuseppe Meazza where the home fans showed no love to their former favorite.
During the first half Inter were clearly the better team, having much more possession of the ball, but were denied of a goal in the 6 minute when Calhanoglu rattled the crossbar.

After the break the balance on the pitch stayed the same, although Cristante had a good chance to score a header after the one-hour mark. This led to the 81 minute when Di Marco sent a perfect low cross into the box and Marcus Thuram fired it into the net for 1-0.
