The Detroit Tigers defeated Cleveland Guardians in a dominant fashion 5-0 on Wednesday.


Eduardo Rodriguez led the way for the Detroit team as he struck out eight over seven innings.

Javier Baez had two hits and made two runs, while Jason Foley and Chasen Shreve finished off the game with combined four-hitter.

The Guardians succumbed to their 5th home loss in the series from six games in total.

Tyler Freeman singled twice and David Fry had his first major league hit.

Battenfield achieved a season-high five runs on seven hits in six innings, striking out four.

The rookie right-hander carried a perfect game into the sixth inning of his last start against Minnesota but remains winless in six big league appearances.
