The 30-year old embroiled in an argument with his teammate in Sunday's game

The Minnesota Timberwolves have suspended Rudy Gobert for his heated argument on the bench with his own teammate Kyle Anderson during their last game of the season on Sunday.

That means the 30-year old will miss the play-in game against Los Angeles Lakers.

He was heard shouting censored words towards Anderson and was immediately sent to the locker room. However the argument didn’t stop there as the two could be heard exchanging heated words at the halftime interval.

Minnesota reacted properly and sent Gobert away. The next day, on Monday he apologized for his behaviour on Twitter.

“Emotions got the best of me today. I should not have reacted the way I did regardless of what was said. I wanna apologize to the fans, the organisation (sic), and particularly to Kyle, who is someone that I truly love and respect as a teammate,” he wrote.

Minnesota will take on the Lakers in the start of the play-in tournament and if they are victorious they will face the second-seeded Grizzlies in the first round.
