The Tennessee Titans are activating RB Tyjae Spears from injured reserve, the organization revealed ahead of tomorrow’s match vs. the Cardinals.
“I can’t wait to be on the field,” shared Tyjae yesterday. “The emotions are getting stronger, and I can’t wait to play again in the NFL.”
The running back was placed on IR after sustaining a high ankle sprain in the preseason opener vs. the Bucs at the beginning of August.
The injury appeared in the 2nd quarter when the RB caught a pass out of the backfield for a 13-yard gain. He had a procedure before starting rehab. Spears trained individually with trainers in the past several weeks.
Tennessee boss Brian Callahan claimed before the beginning of the new campaign in the National Football League that he wants to split the minutes on the field between Tyjae and Tony Pollard, who finished with 260 carries in the past season.
