The former Brazil coach will bring his team of experts that worked under his wing during his 6-year spell at the national team.
The 62-year-old, who has been out of job since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, will make his debut for his new club on October 19, when Flamengo faces Cruzeiro in a Brazilian championship game.
Tite inherits Jorge Sampaoli, who was fired after failing to deliver a trophy for the club. The Argentinian lasted only 6 months and the Rio da Janeiro will certainly be looking for a long-term replacement in Tite.
The 62-year-old does have a rich experience in the Brazil League as led Corinthians to a maiden Copa Libertadores title and a Club World Cup crown against Chelsea in 2012.
As things stand Flamengo sits 5th in the Brazilian championship with 44 points from 26 matches, 11 behind leader Botafogo.
