Spurs won against the Reds, who played with 9 players after a Liverpool player scored an own goal.

Tottenham defeated Liverpool 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the winning goal came in the last possible moment of the additional time when Joel Matip scored the ball into his own net.

The 1st crucial moment in the match was in the 26th minute when Curtis Jones received a direct red card and left Liverpool with 10 men.

Spurs captain Heung-Min Son scored in the 36th minute after Richarlison’s assist gave his team the lead. However, even with the man down, the Reds tied the game before the end of the 1st half when Cody Gakpo netted in the additional time, but the Dutch injured himself when he scored and was substituted.

Everything went smooth in the 2nd half until the 70th minute when Diogo Jota, who replaced the goalscorer Gakpo, received his 2nd yellow card in that minute and left Liverpool with 9 men on the pitch against 11 from Tottenham.

The crucial moment came in the last second of the clash when Joel Matip scored an own goal to give the victory to Tottenham.
